# Biometrics

> How to set up Face ID and Touch ID on BeeSwarm.

🔐 BeeSwarm uses your device's biometric authentication to protect access to your wallet. The flow may vary depending on the password manager configured on your phone.

## iOS

**Recommended setup: Passwords app (Apple's native)**

For biometrics to work correctly on BeeSwarm, we recommend using the native iOS **Passwords** app as your default manager.

</Frame>

To check or change the active manager:

1. Open **Settings** on your iPhone
2. Go to **Passwords → Password Options**
3. Under **AutoFill from**, select **Passwords** (Apple icon)

<Warning>
  If another app is selected (such as Bitwarden, Google Password Manager, or similar), BeeSwarm's biometric authentication may be redirected to that manager. Switch to the Passwords app to ensure correct behavior.
</Warning>

After adjusting the setting, return to the app and enable biometrics normally.

## Android

On Android, the manager used is generally **Google Password Manager**, integrated into the system. On most devices no extra configuration is required.

If biometrics is not triggered automatically, check your device's settings to see which password manager is active and make sure the autofill option is enabled.
